Bicycle Kingdom expands the Emperor’s initial tour to all the imperial sights of Beijing. We will cycle around Tianmen Square, Forbidden City and along Changan Avenue -- the broadest street in Beijing. We’ll pass the ancient observatory, the intercity wall ruins & their biggest corner tower. Your guide will share imperial history, point out interesting buildings, and share stories of Imperial scholarship, family, religion, and science.
It was the last Emperor who made the first bike tour in China. He loved bicycles so much that he ordered his servants to saw off the thresholds of the gates in the Forbidden City to make it more convenient for him to ride his bicycle.
