Description
In the old days, the Forbidden City and its
massive red walls was called the
"Innermost City". The ancient
residents of the inner city could have never
expected that today, a 5-star hotel, the
Grand Hotel, Beijing, would be erected on
the grounds of the former Imperial City. You
will fall in love after reaching the
upper-deck lobby where the atrium a la
Portman receives you in marbled splendour
with an artsy zodiac fountain, portraying
the Water Scenery of the Royal Garden.
Memories of the Old World at night abound,
when the pianist fills the air with Chopin
and Strauss.
