Badaling Great Wall

Badaling Great Wall , located in Yanqing County about 75km northwest of Beijing. It’s the best preserved part of the Great Wall and served as the outpost of the Juyongguan Pass.. “Bada” means “ very convenient transportations to all directions.”
Badaling Great Wall is about 12km long with 24 watchtower and 4 wall platform. There are four Chinese characters inscribed on the eastern pass of Badaling:”Juyongweizhen”, which means there was still another strategic town outside of Juyongguan Pass. On the western end of it , another inscription with four wards”Beimensuoyue” carved on the top of the pass, which means “a key to the north gate”, describing that Badaling pass has a very strategic importance, it was just like a key to northern gate of Beijing, without this key, the north gate of Beijing would be open to danger.
At here , those who are not physically fit, also can enjoy the Great Wall by a cable car , Besides many shops , there is a Great wall Museum of Chinese History, this museum had a photo gallery showing that many world famous people came here and admired this marvelous wonder.
